ดร.ณัฐกิตติ์ ตั้งพูลสินธนา กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ สายงานการตลาด บริษัท เซ็นทรัลพัฒนา จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “งานวิ่ง Samui Neon Run ถือเป็นงานวิ่ง Signature ที่เซ็นทรัล สมุย ร่วมกับจังหวัด และพันธมิตรภาพรัฐ-เอกชน จัด ต่อเนื่องเป็นปีที่ 4 เพื่อเป็นอีกหนึ่งแม็กเน็ต Sport event ดึงดูดนักวิ่งทั้งไทย-ต่างชาติให้มาร่วมงานทุกปี โดยครั้งนี้ จะเริ่มขึ้นในวันที่ 3 พฤษภาคม 2568ตอกย้ำความสำเร็จในฐานะอีเวนต์ระดับนานาชาติที่ได้รับความนิยมเพิ่มขึ้นทุกๆปี  นับเป็นความภาคภูมิใจที่เซ็นทรัล สมุย ได้มีส่วนช่วยผลักดัน “Sport Tourism” บน “เกาะสมุย” โดยในปี 2024 ที่ผ่านมา ได้ต้อนรับนักวิ่งจากทั่วโลกกว่า 1,500 คน ซึ่งเติบโตขึ้นกว่า 50% จากปี 2023  โดยแบ่งเป็นนักวิ่งเป็นชาวไทย 50% และชาวต่างชาติ 50% โดย Top 5 นักวิ่งชาวต่างชาติจากฝรั่งเศส อังกฤษ รัสเซีย เยอรมนี และ ออสเตรเลีย ตามลำดับ ส่วน Top 5 นักวิ่งชาวไทย ได้แก่ กรุงเทพมหานคร ขอนแก่น เลย นครศรีธรรมราช และนนทบุรี ขณะที่นักวิ่งตั้งเป้าดึงดูดนักวิ่งกว่า 3,000 คน สอดคล้องกับยุทธศาสตร์จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีในการขับเคลื่อนสู่ Sports City ยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของชุมชน ควบคู่กับการสร้างมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และการท่องเที่ยว

กิจกรรมนี้สอดรับกับนโยบายของรัฐบาลภายใต้แคมเปญ “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025” ที่มุ่งส่งเสริมกิจกรรมท่องเที่ยว–กีฬา–สุขภาพให้เป็นพลังขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทยอย่างยั่งยืน โดยเกาะสมุยถือเป็นหนึ่งในพื้นที่ยุทธศาสตร์สำคัญของภาคใต้ฝั่งอ่าวไทยที่มีศักยภาพโดดเด่นในระดับนานาชาติ นอกจากนี้ ยังช่วยเสริมภาพลักษณ์ของเกาะสมุยในฐานะ Tourism Hub แห่งอ่าวไทย และก้าวสู่การเป็นหนึ่งใน “10 เกาะท่องเที่ยวที่สวยที่สุดในโลก” ด้วยจุดแข็งด้านไลฟ์สไตล์ กีฬา และธรรมชาติ ดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวคุณภาพจากทั่วโลก ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกลุ่ม Millennials, Gen Z หรือ Wellness Tourists ที่มองหา การท่องเที่ยวเชิงประสบการณ์ (Experiential Travel) พร้อมช่วยกระจายรายได้สู่ผู้ประกอบการในพื้นที่ทั้ง Ecosystem ทั้งที่พัก ร้านอาหาร ร้านค้า และธุรกิจบริการต่าง ๆ เดินหน้าส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจและการท่องเที่ยวเกาะสมุยไตรมาส 2/2568” ดร.ณัฐกิตติ์ กล่าว

Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana, said “The Samui Neon Run has become a signature sport event that Central Samui organizes annually in collaboration with provincial authorities and strategic partners. This year marks the 4th consecutive edition, continuing its mission to elevate Samui as a top sport tourism destination. The 2025 run will be held on May 3 and builds on the success of previous years, where the event welcomed over 1,500 runners in 2024—a 50% increase from 2023. Participants were equally split between Thai and international runners, with the top five foreign nationalities being France, the UK, Russia, Germany, and Australia. Top Thai participants hailed from Bangkok, Khon Kaen, Loei, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Nonthaburi. “We aim to surpass 3,000 runners in 2025, aligning with Surat Thani Province’s strategy to develop as a Sport City and to improve community well-being while generating economic, social, and tourism value.

This initiative also supports the government’s ‘Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025’ campaign, which emphasizes sports and wellness tourism as key drivers of sustainable growth.
