ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต พร้อมแล้วที่จะจุดประกายศึกแห่งตำนานอีกครั้ง กับการแข่งขัน “ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต ไตรกีฬา” งานไตรกีฬาระดับนานาชาติที่ได้รับความนิยมและจัดต่อเนื่องยาวนานที่สุดในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยปีนี้เป็นการจัดงานครั้งที่ 30 อันยิ่งใหญ่ ที่เกิดขึ้นจากความร่วมมืออันแข็งแกร่งกับองค์กรชั้นนำระดับประเทศมากมาย อาทิ จังหวัดภูเก็ต การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) การกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) และหน่วยงานอื่น ๆ อีกมากมาย เพื่อตอกย้ำความสำเร็จของ “ภูเก็ต” ในการเป็นศูนย์กลางการจัดการแข่งขันกีฬา (Sport Event) ระดับแนวหน้าของเอเชียที่มีมาตรฐานระดับสากล รวมถึงเปิดโอกาสให้นักกีฬาได้สัมผัสความเร้าใจของการแข่งขันครั้งประวัติศาสตร์นี้ ทั้งเส้นทางแข่งขันที่ไม่เหมือนใคร ความงดงามตามธรรมชาติของภูเก็ต สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบครันทันสมัย และมาตรฐานการจัดการและความปลอดภัยอันโด่งดังของลากูน่าภูเก็ต

“ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต ไตรกีฬา ครั้งที่ 30” จะนำเสนอความท้าทายที่น่าตื่นเต้นมากกว่าที่เคย ประกอบด้วยรายการแข่งขัน “ไตรกีฬา” (Triathlon) ประเภทอีลิท (Elite) บุคคล (Individual) และทีมผลัด (Team Relay) ซึ่งประกอบด้วยระยะทางว่ายน้ำ 1.8 กม. ในทะเลอันดามันและทะเลสาบ ระยะทางปั่นจักรยาน 50 กม. ผ่านทัศนียภาพที่งดงามของภูเก็ต และระยะทางวิ่ง 12 กม. ภายใน ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต การแข่งขัน “ไตรกีฬาระยะสปรินท์” (Sprint Triathlon) ประกอบด้วย ระยะว่ายน้ำ 0.5 กม. ปั่นจักรยาน 20 กม. และวิ่ง 6 กม. และการแข่งขัน “ทวิกีฬา” (Duathlon) ระยะทาง วิ่ง 4 กม. ปั่นจักรยาน 50 กม. และ วิ่ง 12 กม. ซึ่งเปิดโอกาสให้นักกีฬาได้สัมผัสกับเส้นทางปั่นจักรยานอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของการแข่งขัน โดยมีเงินรางวัลรวมมูลค่ามากถึง 20,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ สำหรับการแข่งขันไตรกีฬาสุดมันส์ครั้งนี้

ไฮไลท์ของการแข่งขันในปีนี้ยังรวมถึงกิจกรรมใหม่ ๆ มากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การกลับมาอีกครั้งของ “Charity Fun Run” วิ่งการกุศลลากูน่าภูเก็ตไตร หรือ “วิ่งมหาสนุก ส่งสุขให้น้อง” กิจกรรมวิ่งการกุศลระยะทาง 6 กม. ในวันเสาร์ที่ 16 พฤศจิกายน เพื่อสร้างสีสันให้กับการแข่งขันได้ลงตัวมากยิ่งขึ้น สำหรับครอบครัว กลุ่มเพื่อน และนักท่องเที่ยวได้มีส่วนร่วมและเพลิดเพลินกับวันแห่งการออกกำลังกาย ไปจนถึงการเปิดตัวรายการใหม่ “Laguna Phuket Open Water Swim Presented by TriHub” ที่จะมอบประสบการณ์ใหม่และโอกาสสำหรับนักไตรกีฬาทดสอบทักษะในผืนน้ำทะเล (Open Water) กิจกรรมนี้ต้อนรับทั้งผู้เข้าร่วมไตรกีฬาผู้ช่ำชองและผู้เริ่มต้น นอกจากนั้น ยังมีการแข่งขันประเภทรุ่นอายุกับ “ไตรกีฬาระยะสปรินท์” (Sprint Triathlon) ซึ่งจะเพิ่มความท้าทายให้กับการแข่งขัน 

สำหรับในปีนี้ มีรายชื่อนักไตรกีฬาระดับโลกที่จะยกทัพเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันอย่างคับคั่ง นำโดย Simon Thompson นักไตรกีฬาในตำนาน (Legend) ซึ่งเคยคว้าแชมป์ในปี 2003 และรองแชมป์ในปี 2004 ร่วมด้วย Yvonne Van Vlerken ผู้เคยคว้าตำแหน่งอันดับที่ 3 ในการแข่งขันประเภทหญิงในปี 2017 และนักกีฬาชายมืออาชีพ 12 คน (Pro Male) ได้แก่ Richard Varga, Charlie Quin, Joel Wooldridge, Gaetan Fetaud, Max Stapley, Tom Bishop, Tayler Ried, Jonas Schomburg, Per Van Vlerken, Antony Costes, Guy Crawford และ Massimo Cigana และนักกีฬาหญิงมืออาชีพ 7 คน (Pro Female) ได้แก่: Kate Bevilaqua, Kate Waugh, Sian Rainsley, Nicole Van Der Kaay, Milan Agnew, Cassie Heaslip และ Dimity Lee Duke.

The “30th Laguna Phuket Triathlon” will offer thrilling challenges, including a Triathlon (Elite, Individual, and Team Relay) featuring signature race distances of a 1.8 km swim in the Andaman Sea and lagoon, a 50 km bike ride through Phuket’s picturesque countryside and villages, and a 12 km run within Laguna Phuket. For a different level of excitement, there’s the Sprint Triathlon (0.5 km swim, 20 km bike, and 6 km run) and a Duathlon (4 km run – 50 km bike – 12 km run), allowing athletes to experience the race’s signature bike course.
